This marks an important commitment as Opencentric seeks to play its part in raising industry standards as a digital transformation employer and partner, as well as contribute to a more equitable future.
Established by the Living Wage Foundation, the real Living Wage is the only UK wage rate independently calculated on what is needed to cover living costs. It is different from the government's National Living Wage, which is the legal minimum employers must pay to people over the age of 21.
The real Living Wage applies to all workers over the age of 18 working for a Living Wage employer and recently increased to £13.45 an hour across the UK and £14.80 an hour in London in line with inflation. The National Living Wage applies to those over the age of 21 and is worth £12.21 an hour.
“But this commitment goes beyond our own team. We also work closely with suppliers who share these values and who are equally committed to treating their people with respect and fairness. Our goal is to ensure that everyone connected to our work, directly or indirectly, benefits from the same standards of dignity and opportunity.
“Digital transformation is ultimately about people, and the choices we make as employers and partners matter. We are proud to play our part in raising standards across our industry and contributing to a more equitable future of work.”
